Yeah, that side effect is listed for the med I take as well. I have a theory about this, based on some reading I did way back in high school. Back then I read that frequently a person who is seriously suicidal will actually seem to improve and start to recover from the depression shortly before committing suicide. The thinking was that such people do start to feel better, have more energy, and so on, but still harbor the suicidal thoughts; only now they have the energy to actually carry through with the plan.

So, my theory is that the drugs are actually working, and that the patient now has more energy and motivation, but the fundamental issues haven't gone away. Thus, they now have the energy to commit the suicide that they were too depressed to commit before.

I think it makes sense.
